What I Learned
Reviewing paper submissions helped me to become a better writer myself. As I read others’ work, I sharpened my critical eye and learned not only to identify issues with grammar, equations, logic, and source citing, but also to be of further assistance and suggest changes that would result in clearer, more concise writing. When reading a submission that appeared to have great potential, I learned to give actionable feedback that would hopefully lead to the eventual acceptance of the paper after resubmission. From there, I was able to implement those ideas when writing my own papers.
